Hi, I’m Yul “Spencer” an American, I became one real early in my life. I was born in France, and then adopted by a middle class American couple. And in no time I was made an American. Some of us are born Americans, some of us made Americans and most of us have become Americans. America, the land of the free where nothing is free but the “Spirit” we call it freedom but it’s dumb to think you’re getting anything for free that’s not given to you. And even then we have to question why someone is giving this or that to us. Making sure we don’t get charged somehow later down the line. Even an inheritance can cost you money.

We’ve all witnessed lately Americans big heart reaching out to others. We saw within a few days hundreds of millions of dollars raised and contributed to the people of Haiti.  Americans’ empathy for the country of Haiti and it’s people was nothing less then beautiful.

But what’s really going on here?  Will you please just for a moment stop and think. Why we hesitate and disallow ourselves to raise our own hearts and these kinds of contributions for our own people right here in America, some of these Americans’ are even Haitian?

200million dollars would go along way in the inner cities and the outer ones too. What about our own “Health Care System”  I’ll bet you the 200 million dollars contributed to others could’ve paid for some hospital bills right here in America. Now obviously I’m not a rocket scientist or professor or anything ingenious. I’m just an American with open eyes everyday for the concern of my fellow man.  And I can see and so can you, we’re failing our own American people.

The World/Government aren’t looking out for us my fellow citizens we are going to have to look out for us. Each other. “What about Us?”

And this is why it should boggle the mind of every American. How we literally rallied around the devastation of another country. There were so many commercials asking for contributions it was crazy. And America stepped up big-time.

But again with Americans going hungry everyday, jobless, homeless. And our children’s education is suffering and the future of our planet is constantly diminishing.  Soon we won’t be able to help ourselves.

I still believe in the “Spirit”  of Americans and that they’re good. But I believe while we’re all distracted by our own well- being, fast food joints, cable, and fancy cars. Somehow Americans don’t’ feel that Americans need the contributions that they ‘re so willing to cough up for others.

The other dynamic about this that boggles the mind is, many countries have been suffering similar devastations for years. And we’ve done very little to help them. Cambodia, Obama’s brothers town in Nairobi…Ethopia damn near all of Africa, and so on and so on.

I believe America can still be the strongest country in the world, before China or Japan buys us up. They’re not helping us they’re buying us because we’ll soon be for sale. So, China and Japan are putting their down payment on it (America). And I don’t’ know about you but I don’t’ want to live under anyone else’s laws I can barely keep up with our own laws here in America.

So “What about Us T.V.” is here to shine a small light on Americans in need of contributions from Americans yes, maybe you. My understanding is, (and I could be wrong) is that when Americans can help themselves we are better equipped to help the rest of the world. But it seems so hypocritical to let your own people suffer while reaching out to others. We can do both and better.

So here on “What About Us t..v.” are some people, places, some ways you can begin.

We hope to encourage Americans to contribute to America and the American citizen.

Peace is our only security.
